New Burma film Screens in NYC Feb. 27th & 28th

Now, with Burma constantly in the headlines, comes the film "They Call It Myanmar" with Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Aung San Suu Kyi.

The film opens in New York City at the Sunshine Theater Monday & Tuesday, March 27th and 28th at 7 PM, as part of a tour of Landmark theaters in major East Coast Cities.

Film director Robert H. Lieberman together with producer Deborah Hoard  will make special guest appearances with the screenings.

Shot clandestinely over three years by novelist, filmmaker, and Cornell Physicist Robert H. Lieberman, this film provides an astonishing and intimate look inside what has been the second most isolated country on the planet.

Providing a grand sweep of the country, its people and its troubled history, this visually stunning documentary brings a human dimension to a country that still remains a mystery to much of the world. The Hollywood Reporter has called the documentary "The definitive Burma film…which defies the odds and delivers a compelling portrait that dwells with you."
