maintaining DSC charter status

The Immigration Working Group (IWG) is a chartered organization of the DSC (Doctoral Student Council) at the GC-CUNY. The charter needs to be renewed each semester. Renewing the charter is key for IWG to keep its budget allocation, its office space, and its official recognition as a student organization.

To maintain IWG as a chartered organization, 23 roster signatures, or memberships, are needed using the DSC website. So if you're a member of our organization, please take the time to sign the roster at the DSC website.

To “join” or “sign” our roster, you must sign into the DSC site (if you do not already have an account on the DSC website, you will have to create one). Follow these steps to sign our roster:
  1. Go to the IWG roster on the DSC site
    • Then select, "login" or "register"
    • If you already have a DSC account, login and enter your information.
    • If you do not already have a DSC account, click "register" and follow the steps to create an account and then come back and sign our roster.
Or, take the following steps:
  1. Log in to the DSC website (cunydsc.org—you will need to register with the site if you are not already a member)
  2. Hover over the tab on the left named “Chartered Organizations” and click on “Join/Sign Rosters”
  3. Click on the name of the organization you are interested in joining. In this case, click on The Immigration Working Group (under letter 'T')
  4. Make sure you are signing on the Fall 2013 semester and click the link that says “JOIN THIS ORGANIZATION”. Fill in the requested information (no need to put "reasons") and you are done!
Please help if you’d like to preserve this space and resources for Immigration students and scholars! Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns regarding the new charter renewal process. Thanks!
